Disinfectant wipes are your best friend at this time of year. Leave containers of disinfectant wipes around the house, so that you can just grab and wipe germ carriers such as landline telephones, cell phones, tv remote controls, computer keyboards, doorknobs, railings, the refrigerator handle, light switches and toilet flushers.  Wipe them down a couple of times per week with little or no effort. If people in your home are sick, wipe them down daily.  Look for wipes that are effective against the influenza A virus.
