Ways to use vinegar to clean that will surprise you!
Keeping a clean household is hard work. Whether you have a family or are single, you still need to keep a clean home. These days, who has time? While you are running around with the kids’ extracurricular activities or trying to maintain that huge career (or both), cleaning is always the last thing to get done. Your Philadelphia maids can help with the cleaning. At Executive Maids, we have been helping people stay on top of their cleaning by keeping a clean house for them.
There are, however, some things Executive Maids, and most maid services for that matter, won’t do. But, did you know that vinegar could help with some of those chores? Yes, folks, vinegar. White vinegar is a very efficient cleaning product for some of your household and personal tasks.
Discover ways to use vinegar right now:
Get rid of the pit stains!
Eliminate perspiration marks under the underarms of clothing by soaking them with vinegar before washing. It will also remove any lingering smells!
Soften your jeans
Vinegar is a great fabric softener. Turn those stiff jeans inside out and add 1 cup of vinegar to the wash. Jeans will come out nice and soft when they dry.
Add a ½ cup of vinegar to your wash when cleaning brightly colored towels and lines to prevent color fading. You will get crisp, bright linens every time!
Get rid of smoke smell
The lingering smell of stale cigarette smoke on your clothes and fabrics is disgusting. They need a vinegar bath. Pour a cup of vinegar to a large tub of hot water and hang clothes and fabrics above the steam. Leave it overnight with a window open and by morning your items should smell fresher.
Freshen up the fridge
Clean the shelves and walls with a solution of half water and half vinegar.
Pour white distilled vinegar on the weeds growing in the cracks of your walkway and driveway. Saturate the plant so the vinegar reaches the roots.
Dab a cotton ball soaked in white vinegar on mosquito bites and insect stings. It will stop them from itching and help disinfect the area so they heal faster.
If you have stray cats in your neighborhood that love to come into your yard to pee, spray vinegar around the perimeter of your house and in your yard. This eliminates existing pee odors and deters them from coming back. As a bonus, it’s also good for your grass.
Clean your dishwasher and coffee pot
Reduce soap buildup and food residue by pouring a cup of vinegar into your empty dishwasher or coffee pot once a month and letting it run a full cycle.
Restore showerhead pressure
If your showerhead gets clogged with mineral deposits, soak it for 15 minutes in a mixture of ½ cup vinegar and 1-quart water.
