Why are we so passionate about donating free cleanings to cancer patients?

Cancer has touched everyone’s family, including mine. I had a dear friend in her 80s who battled cancer in her pelvis. I watched her deteriorate as the disease spread through her body and eventually to her brain. She was a lively, wonderful, and helpful woman who touched the lives of so many people. I tended to her and cared for her until she was finally relieved of her pain and struggles.

My heart breaks for all cancer patients, and this is why I am so passionate about donating free house cleanings to help cancer patients in a tangible way during their treatment.

Over 56,000 served

In 2005, Debbie Sardone shared her vision to aid cancer patients during our ISSA Annual Conference. Since then, over forty thousand individuals have received free cleaning services from local companies like ours.

1400 Participating cleaning companies

We are honored to join more than 1200 cleaning companies in assisting cancer patients to maintain clean homes while they face the physical challenges of battling cancer.

About Cleaning for a Reason

Cleaning for a Reason is a nonprofit organization that partners with residential cleaners throughout the United States and Canada to offer free in-home cleaning to help cancer patients.

In 2017, Cleaning for a Reason was adopted by ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, joining the fold under the ISSA Charities arm. It is now positioned to achieve its long-desired goal of outreach expansion.
